NCQA is now hiring a Product Management Analyst!

If you want to be part of exciting work and directly influence products and programs in areas to help meet purchaser needs, improve care, ensure trust in data, and differentiate clinical performance, this is the job for you!

The role will be accountable for comprehensively analyzing individual programs in these areas or new ones. This includes analysis to help teams decide how to expand current programs such as Health Plan Accreditation, Patient-Centered Care, Population Health, and Long-Term Services and Support but also explore new areas such as Health Equity, Virtual & Home Care, Specialty Pharmacy, and Data Aggregator Validation.

Product Strategy. Work on cross-functional teams to formulate ideas, conduct user and market research, prepare information to create business cases/models (including pricing, licensing, etc.), and support development of product content and requirements. Understand and analyze market offerings and competitor capabilities. Engage with customers to gain firsthand insight on the programs and customer needs.

Product Development. Serve as part of the product development process. Collaborate with team members to ensure successful feature/product launch. Develop a shared understanding of the product throughout the product development team and the broader organization through the creation supporting materials and documents. Work on the product roadmap that aligns with business strategy and market needs.

Lifecycle Management. Work on the product lifecycle, supporting formation activities up through to development, delivery and execution. Gather information for proposed ideas, develop implementation documents and support feature/product launch.

Responsibilities:

Influences Program Definition, Strategy, and Management by:

  • Analyzing market data, trends, and behaviors
  • Evaluating programs performance
  • Providing recommendations on program strategies
  • Synthesizing data and background information
  • Generating reports and presentations on results findings
  • Monitoring programs performance

Executes on aspects of development, from front-end to launch, for existing and new evaluation programs and services. Examples of activities include:

  • Gathering voice of customer (VOC)
  • Product Design
  • Operationalization (e.g. business process, systems development, training) & Testing (e.g. beta testing)
  • Product Management (workplans, cross-functional activity coordination)

  • Market Insights and Competitive Assessment
  • Value Proposition
  • Segments and Targets
  • Messaging
  • Pricing Model / Pricing Strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of work in field related to health care; or new master's degree in health care or business administration.
  • Comprehensive data gathering and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Excellent speaking and communication ability.
  • Planning and organization skills.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Teamwork process skills.
