The Product Line Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the short- and long-term strategies within the AMS region. This position reports to the Head of PPS and accomplishes goals by balancing the region’s manufacturing capabilities, market requirements, and global objectives of the product lines.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develops annual sales budget and quarterly forecasts for respective product lines and aligns contribution targets to the segments for execution of the short- and long- range (10-year) strategic goals.
- Devises strategic plans for assigned product lines which provide optimum utilization of existing assets and facilities, and maximum profitability consistent with the Business Entity objectives. Active participation in regional segment strategy execution and planning.
- Develops Guide and Limit Pricing for product lines based on market dynamics and thorough consideration of manufacturing economics, including raw materials, conversion, packaging, and logistic costs. Align pricing to appropriate segments and communicate to the commercial team for implementation.
- Maximize product line profitability by optimizing Margin 1, Margin 2, and EBIT. This is accomplished through: (1) evaluation of customer/product mix; (2) portfolio management (product rationalization); (3) strategic raw material sourcing; (4) asset utilization; and (5) overhead cost analysis.
- Assist in minimizing working capital through effective inventory management including but not limited to reduction of DSMI (aged inventory) and strategic supply agreements for MTS inventory.
- Assist in business case development for regional capital projects
- Lead and manage allocation processes when necessary. This includes analysis of incoming supply predictions with forecasted demand and open orders. Attend and key contributor to weekly update meetings. Responsible for updating monthly customer allocation communications. Build allocation key and distribute and communicate monthly allocation to Commercial and OM teams.
- Support the new product development process through guidance on portfolio expansion and product costing/profitability measurement.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technical or related field with 6+ years of related experience

Salary Range: $103,867 - $192,954
