We are looking for a talented and motivated Product Manager Intern. to join our team specializing in Single and Hub Reduction Axles for Europe and the Rest of the World (RoW). We are based in Cameri (NO).
The role provides hands‑on experience in product strategy, cross‑functional coordination, and commercial/technical activities for a global automotive company.
This internship is ideal for someone curious, analytical, and eager to learn how product strategy and product development work in a real‑world industrial environment.
We offer a 6 month internship. The job is fully onsite (no smart-working available).
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Problem Reports (PR) and Change Requests (CR) Process Support
- Assist in preparing the weekly PR-CR report.
- Support the PLM during PR-CR review meetings by collecting inputs, updating status, and tracking timelines.
- RFQ/RFI Support
- Assist the PLM and Sales teams with data preparation, template updates, and documentation gathering for customer requests.
- Ensure all localized inputs align with current Cummins product offerings.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams during early-stage activities, including PR investigation and data collection.
- Project & Program Support (Cummins GP3 Process)
- Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, and timeline updates.
- Assist in preparing critical material for business case inputs and Gate reviews.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Organize and facilitate alignment meetings between PLM, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Procurement.
- Prepare minutes, action lists, and maintain shared collaborative trackers.
- Product Cost, Profitability & Business Support
- Support margin improvement and cost reduction tracking through simple data analysis and profitability tracking updates.
- Collaborate with purchasing and engineering teams to gather information for cost-related activities.
- Product Strategy & Market Analysis
- Assist in collecting market data, customer feedback, and competitor benchmarking.
- Help prepare summary reports, presentations, and updates for product roadmaps.
- Benchmarking & Technical Documentation
- Support product benchmarking activities with engineering and product strategy teams.
- Maintain and update technical and commercial documentation.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Education: Preference for recent graduates or students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering Management (Ingegneria gestionale, L9 – LM31).
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory; multi-cultural communication skills are highly valued.
- Technical & Analytical Aptitude: Good analytical skills with exposure to Excel, PowerBI, data handling, or AI tools.
- Core Competencies: Strong curiosity for the automotive/commercial vehicle sector, attention to detail, and a structured mindset.
- Collaboration: Ability to work proactively and collaboratively across diverse, international teams.
