 About the role 

The Product Expert for Legal Tech (Contract & Information Management) is accountable for the ownership, effectiveness, and evolution of products and systems that support contract review, contract information management, and legal information access across the enterprise. 

This role exists to ensure that contract review‑related tools, data, and processes are fit for purpose, well‑governed, and aligned to Legal, Procurement, and Business needs, while avoiding duplication, unmanaged repositories, and opaque contract risk. 

Role Responsibilities 

• Own the functional effectiveness of contract and information management platforms (e.g., CLM, document repositories, AI‑assisted review tools)  

• Translate Legal and business needs into product configuration, enhancements, and prioritised improvements  

• Partner with Architecture and Product teams to ensure solutions are scalable, integrated, and aligned to enterprise standards  

• Prevent tool sprawl by guiding what systems should be used for which contract‑related purpose — and why 

Why you? 

Basic Qualifications: 

• 12+ years deep experience working with contract review, contract lifecycle, or legal information management systems  

• Strong understanding of contracts as both legal instruments and operational data assets  

• Experience owning or configuring products that support contract metadata, search, classification, and retrieval  

• Proven ability to define standards and governance for legal or contractual information  

• Experience partnering closely with Legal stakeholders and Technology teams 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with CLM platforms, document management systems, and/or contract analytics tools  

• Ability to translate legal complexity into structured, scalable information models  

• Strong attention to detail with a systems‑level view of information flow  

• Comfortable operating as a domain expert within a larger product organisation
