The Product Marketing team for Experiences plays a pivotal role in envisioning the product, defining the strategy, and making it real. Our teammates deeply understand the needs of our guests and hosts, and continuously innovate to create world-class products. This includes a strong ability to partner with talented cross-functional team members across marketing, business, operations, supply, legal, and design—to execute a shared vision and achieve ambitious goals.
The Difference You Will Make:
As a Product Lead of Experiences, you will be responsible for shaping Airbnb’s point of view of each of our markets, in a clear and compelling manner. You will direct a team who uses the power of storytelling and research to distill what guests will experience in major cities globally. You are comfortable in working with both content and design, while driving ambitious deadlines. Your global mindset, being well traveled, and attention to detail, will be important to your success.
A Typical Day:
- Strategic leadership: Manage a team of writers, editors, and local collaborators to shape Airbnb’s point of view for cities globally. Ensure brand voice and a consistent global perspective in the work.
- Cross-functional alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply, and business to ensure the work drives meaningful results.
- Feedback and collaboration: Share creative direction and feedback in a collaborative and supportive manner to simplify and sharpen the work. Socialize for broader input and feedback to guide the team.
- Drive execution: Uphold a high standard of quality in the work, and drive and enlist collaborators to achieve weekly goals. Problem solve any roadblocks with curiosity and clear communication.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, gathering their input into the work.
Your Expertise:
- Experience: 10+ years of creative direction, editorial, and/or product marketing experience. 5+ years managing design and content teams to create powerful work.
- Communication & Leadership: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Analytic and creative thinking: Strong ability to think strategically and hold a systems view, while creatively generating multiple solutions. Strong attention to detail, concision, and specificity, especially in regards to conveying a city’s essence.
- Creative direction: Clear direction and an ability to inspire teams to do their best work through iterations.
- Storytelling and research: Ability to distill the heart of a story with compelling examples to bring it to life.
- Globally minded: Well traveled in many regions, with the ability to hold a global perspective of Airbnb’s markets.
- Community engagement: Strong enthusiasm for working closely with the Airbnb community globally, consistently demonstrating Airbnb’s core values and fostering a sense of belonging.
Your Location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

$164,000—$205,000 USD
