This hands-on individual contributor role will own and evolve the end-to-end experience of our SaaS platform. The boundary between design, user research, and product management is intentionally blurred. You will do a bit of all three, roughly two-thirds design and UX and one-third product.

We’re looking for someone who can drive decisions and execution from the experience seat, grounded in customer truth and data. Many days, you’ll be designing, prototyping, testing, iterating, and talking to customers. You’ll partner closely with product managers who focus more on functionality and value delivery, forming a strong team together.

Being AI-forward is an absolute must, and that does not mean enabling AI functionality in Figma. Successful candidates will be excited to explore and use the latest AI tools to shape a faster, better way to build product.

A candidate with prior background in advertising, including adtech, martech, agency, or brand experience, will ramp faster.

This position is based in the NYC region and mostly remote. It will require periodic visits to our Midtown office, but a weekly in-office cadence is not required.

What you’ll do:
  • Engage directly with customers: Build deep understanding of user workflows, challenges, and goals through regular customer conversations. Advocate for user value across the organization, helping teams see the product through our customers’ eyes.

  • Translate insights into action: Turn customer feedback into concrete product improvements, with a strong focus on visual design. Ability to tell simple stories about complex and messy data through interaction design and thoughtful visualizations.

  • Own and execute end-to-end design: As the lead designer on the product development team, execute design for key initiatives from concept through launch. Scope includes our core SaaS application and branded elements.

  • Have a strong AI-first orientation: Use AI to compress the time from insight to shipped product. Use rapid prototyping tools and keep Vidmob’s design system current in those tools so other product team members can communicate ideas to customers and colleagues.

  • Be data-savvy: Be fluent in core application metrics and the tools that gather them, such as PostHog, and use that data to drive experience improvements.

  • Collaborate within the team: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to build and ship, and with our GTM team to gather input on what’s needed.

  • Be a catalyst for modernizing our experience: There are no sacred cows. Push for meaningful improvements to our existing application and set a high bar for product experience that inspires others.

What you bring:

  • 8+ years designing SaaS products, including experience scaling a complex system over time

  • A portfolio that shows real work shipped from messy problem to prototype and test to build to launch and learn, ideally in data or AI-driven products

  • Strategic and hands-on. You have strong judgment, and you still design and prototype yourself. You have a strong, adaptable sense of visual style

  • Strong UX fundamentals. Workflow design, information architecture, interaction design, usability. You can make complicated things feel straightforward

  • Product-minded. You think about user value, business impact, and engineering reality together

  • Customer-curious. You like talking to users and you use what you learn to change the product. We want to learn how they use products and what can make them happier

  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You do not wait for perfect clarity. You create it through exploration, testing, and iteration

  • AI-curious. You use modern AI tools to move faster, explore more options, prototype quickly, and tighten the loop from idea to proof. You’re always playing with the latest tech to see what may help you do your job better

  • Naturally proactive. You spot problems early, take initiative, and keep things moving day to day. You can push a point of view, explain your reasoning, and bring others along

  • Comfort with analytics and experimentation, including funnels, behavior data, and A/B tests

  • Experience creating, working with, and maintaining design systems, including components and patterns

Compensation:
$180,000-200,000
