About the Department

You will be joining the Thickening team in the Mining Industry as a Senior Lead Engineer.

Your Responsibilities

  • Applying mechanical engineering principles to develop products (e.g., Thickeners, Clarifiers, Drive units etc.)

  • Participate in design work and product customization.

  • Support to proposal department, sales department, and Project Management.

  • Defining requirements for projects together with the Global Team and providing technical assistance to global projects.

  • Design and make necessary strength calculations on equipment as well as on machinery parts.

  • Make technical drawings and 3D design work using SolidWorks.

  • Plans and directs drafting personnel in generating detailed fabrication drawings.

  • Provide instructions for drafting personnel to ensure all project deliverables are completed in a timely fashion and within the budget.

  • Development of methods and procedures for inspection, installation, and assembly of equipment.

  • Design and prepare necessary documentation covering risk assessments, drawings, specifications, instructions, and design manuals.

  • To work in a team environment and will be expected to be able to direct and have a good relationship with others.

What You Bring

  • Knowledge and skills with IT tools like SolidWorks (Advanced level), AutoCAD, PLM tools (Enovia, Teamcenter) is expected. Experience in STAAD and ANSYS software will be an added advantage.

  • Should have working experience in Sedimentation Products (Thickeners and Clarifiers).

  • Sound knowledge in Manufacturing process of heavy fabrication equipment.

  • Good Knowledge in handling vendor products associated with the liquid solid separation products like Thickener, Filter, and Flotation products.

  • Knowledge of design codes like ASTM, ASME, API, IS, AWS, ISO etc., essential.

  • Should be able to lead and work in teams.

  • This position requires to have good collaboration with the Global engineering team hence good verbal communication and writing skills.

  • Conceptual thinking, visualization & technical problem-solving ability.

  • Expected to deliver results and meet customer expectations.

Education Qualification
bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed University.
Experience
Minimum 8+ years.
