Job Summary: Performs activities associated with the quotation, development, implementation and continual improvement of electronics manufacturing processes based on product documentation.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

  • Provide technical support for all production operations (SMT, Soldering, Assembly, Test, .) in the manufacture of a customers product(s).
  • Determine required process steps and design appropriate routing.
  • Determine additional equipment and processes not currently available and submit request to procure.
  • Establish & Monitor key process indicators in production.
  • Develop, evaluate and improve work instructions and manufacturing methods.
  • Install, layout and adjust special production equipment and tooling.
  • Analyze and interpret customer design documentation, such pcb/pcba data, mechanical drawings and additional customer requirements.
  • Review and direct implementation of customer ECR/ECO (Engineering Change Request/Engineering Change Order.
  • Work directly with Quote Group, Sales department and Program Management to generate labor quotations based on analysis of customer documentation.

 

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Applicant must have a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), or equivalent in work experience.
  • Applicant must have three to five years work experience in the related field.
  • Strong computer skills including, Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Power Point, AutoCAD, manufacturing information systems software programming skills a plus.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building, and effectively communicate. The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical setting with some areas that may be louder at times.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field
