Department
Thickening product line is one of the key products in mining processing industry and used to concentrate solids from slurry and tailing management.
Your responsibilities- Execute design and engineering activities for mining products, ensuring timely delivery within budget and specifications
- Develop and maintain 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation
- Review and validate 2D/3D drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure design quality, integrity, and compliance with standards and customer requirements
- Perform design reviews, basic mechanical calculations, and drawing validation
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and performance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, quality)
- Provide technical support to fabrication, assembly, and site teams, including troubleshooting
- Contribute to product standardization, improvement, and value engineering initiatives
- Maintain proper handling of large assemblies, data management, and adherence to safety standards
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering is required.
- 7-11 years’ experience with the design and development of large industrial equipment.
- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks (3D modeling, detailing, assemblies)
- Good knowledge of mining equipment/products (e.g., thickeners, clarifiers, thickener drives, etc.)
- Experience in Analysis software will be an added advantage.
- Sound understanding of product engineering fundamentals and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with engineering standards and GD&T
- Ability to handle large assemblies and manage design data efficiently
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
