About Us

We are fixing US healthcare by building an AI-native physical care platform, starting with home health.

Home health is a $140B industry with less than $10B in EBITDA — 40% of revenue is spent on pure administrative waste. We automate this work with AI, creating a fundamentally different cost structure compared to incumbents. This lets us rapidly take market share by serving the 30% of patients who go untreated today.

By reshaping the cost structure of this industry, we unlock its growth.

We've built one of the best AI teams in the world (from Character AI, Scale, Palantir, Citadel, Jane Street) and paired them with a team of healthcare veterans to build a new type of healthcare company: one that delivers care at the speed of an AI company.

Our physical care platform already operates with 30pp higher gross margins than traditional home health providers. With our AI advantage, we pay nurses more, remove their admin burden, and unlock the scale economics that have been missing from this fragmented industry. If we served this entire $140B market, instead of $10B in EBITDA, we'd drive $60B.

We're starting with home health, then expanding to all delivered care. Our mission is "any care, any where".

Fundamentally, our incentives are aligned with America. Every dollar in revenue we make is two dollars taken out of the healthcare system. If we succeed, so does US healthcare.

About the Role

We're hiring a Mobile Engineer focusing on designing and building the mobile applications that power our AI-driven clinical platform. You'll be focused on building our clinician-facing mobile experience, a cross-platform application (React Native) that brings our AI automation directly into the hands of our nurses and care teams in the field.

A successful Mobile Engineer at Adaptive Innovations is a strong cross-platform mobile developer who is equally comfortable with product thinking and technical execution. You'll have significant ownership over the mobile experience, shaping both the architecture and product outcomes that define how our clinicians interact with our platform day to day.

Over time, you'll take end-to-end ownership of the mobile domain, setting the technical vision, owning the roadmap, and leading engineering execution for our clinical mobile products.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy cross-platform mobile applications (React Native) for iOS and Android, focused on our clinician-facing clinical documentation and care delivery workflows.

  • Collaborate closely with the Product and Engineering teams to translate complex clinical workflows into intuitive, reliable, and performant mobile experiences.

  • Instrument and monitor live mobile applications, tracking metrics like performance, reliability, and user engagement to guide continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to shared architecture and technical direction, helping shape our mobile platform as we scale across new markets and clinical use cases.

Basic Qualifications
  • Mobile Engineering Expertise: 3-5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in cross-platform mobile development using React Native, with shipped applications on both iOS and Android.

  • Cross-Platform Depth: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain production-grade mobile applications, including experience with mobile-specific considerations such as offline support, performance optimization, device compatibility, and app store deployment.

  • Execution and Delivery: Proven ability to drive mobile product and technical initiatives to completion, making informed trade-off decisions to maximize business value and deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent ability to partner effectively with Clinicians, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver measurable impact.

  • Product Mindset: Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into intuitive, reliable, and scalable mobile solutions, incorporating instrumentation and performance monitoring to drive data-informed iteration. Privacy by design, features meet security, privacy, and regulatory standards, including PHI protection.

  • App Portfolio: A demonstrated history of cross-platform mobile applications, whether built professionally or as side/hobby projects, that showcase mobile development depth and craftsmanship.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare technology, clinical applications, or other regulated mobile environments (HIPAA, clinical workflows, FDA).

  • Familiarity with AI/LLM integration in mobile applications or experience building AI-native mobile experiences.

Our Stack

We build on a modern, production-grade foundation, Python, PostgreSQL, and Redis on the backend, React and Next.js on the web frontend, and Modal, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Temporal for infrastructure. Mobile is built in React Native targeting both iOS and Android.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and equity compensation

  • Comprehensive health insurance, dental, and commuter benefits

  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution

  • Flexible time off policy, we expect most employees to take at least 3 weeks of vacation per year

  • In-office lunches, dinners, and snacks to fuel your focus and well-being

  • Opportunity for growth in a fast-growing company

  • Collaborative team valuing innovation and problem-solving
