The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The person hired for this position will be a member of the Separation and Purification Sciences (SPSD) Water Business Unit team that will execute a series of critically important new product & product redesign programs to deliver our brand promise of innovation and strong reliability to our customers. Our key markets continue to grow at accelerated rates due to the strong need for water filtration solutions. Over the past decade, the external regulatory environment has become more complex, especially related to applications in water.
As a Product Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some
of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading and overseeing change management as it relates to product design changes driven by product/quality improvement, supply changes, regulatory requirements, and cost reduction
- Working on high impact, cross functional teams that will work on multiple product families
- Driving continuous improvement mindset by using multitude of methodologies that include project management (PMP), Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, PPU, and DOE/statistical analysis
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) on Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong English communication skills, 90% speak and write.
- Three (3) years of in a private or public environment in one or more of the following areas: product engineering, process engineering, project engineering, project management, and/or research laboratory.
.In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Preferably experience with water filtration.
- Experience in regulated product categories with expertise in product risk assessments, product safety, third-party testing/certification, and product reliability.
- Project management skills expertise that includes PMP, Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, PPU, and/or DOE/statistical analysis
Work location:
- On site (Guangzhou plant) for first year, after that can be changed to Hybrid.
Travel: May include up to 5% international.
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
