The Role

In the role of a Product Development Sourcing Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the engineering and materials departments.

Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure that design projects are completed within the designated timeframe and budget. This position holds significant importance within the organization as it facilitates a seamless transition during the commercialization phase of the engineering design process.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • PDSM Architecture and Execution - Capable of serving as supply chain lead, providing strategic guidance and motivation for teams, controlling scope, schedule, and unit price while managing sourcing and procurement for mid-sized to large xDC projects.
  • Quality Execution – Accountable for ensuring their team’s metric performance, adherence to existing processes, and responsible for staffing projects for success.
  • Strategic Growth - Supports continuous improvement. Expands and grows group capabilities by hiring personnel, establishing and achieving group objectives, identifying and supporting training opportunities, developing and maintaining strategic roadmaps for further process development.
  • Business Development – Works collaboratively with the business development and project management team to effectively promote and sell Product Development Sourcing services. Assists in creating collateral to promote team services in customer facing meetings. Ensures proposals created by their team have well bounded scope, adequate budget and clear deliverables to ensure customer success.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required (in business or engineering preferably)

Experience in custom mechanical or electromechanical components processing is highly desired.

A demonstrated level of project management success is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
