What’s this role about exactly?

We are looking for an experienced electronics or mechanical engineer with significant and relevant technical expertise. As a senior addition to a small team, you will support design of our products as to safety and compliance for our markets, thus enhancing the competitiveness of our brand. We apply the philosophies and tools of Learning First (Lean) Development into our everyday work practices to ensure we are applying the right tension to the product development process.

You will contribute and deliver against functional plans, able to plan your work to achieve timely and effective outcomes. You will test and analyse a variety of concepts to create new knowledge, understand limits and develop trade-off curves in the format that is used for design decisions, and can be referred to and used by others. You will use knowledge gained from testing and research to ensure safety and compliance in all design components and subsystems of our end products.

This role requires you to proactively collaborate with people from other teams to identify and develop excellent outcomes.

Who are we looking for… 

This is a specialist team and not a generalist role. You must have relevant work experience of at least 5 years working as an engineer with recent experience in safety or compliance (including relevant regulations). We are looking for an engineer with the passion to bring their technical knowledge, skills and personal attributes to help us achieve our business objectives and delight our customers.

As well as that specific expertise, you should demonstrate proven experience showing these skills:
