Product Development Engineer - Reliability

What is the role?

Responsible for providing our customers with a continuous stream of innovative,

reliable products that support and enhance the competitiveness of our brand by

applying the philosophies and tools of Learning First (Lean Development) into

everyday work practices.

Qualifications and experience

• Contributes and delivers against functional plans
• Plans own work to achieve timely and effective outcomes.
• Tests and analyses a variety of concepts to create new knowledge, understand limits and develop trade-off curves in the format that is used for design decisions, and can be referred to and used by others
• Uses knowledge gained from testing and research to design components and subsystems.
• Actively problem-solves during design using LAMDA methodology and addresses issues with performance and manufacturing as they arise.
• Applies design quality tools to ensure manufacturability and sustained quality.
• Effectively plans and coordinates a design change all the way through from concept to production.
• Proactively involves people from other teams to identify and develop excellent outcomes.
• Takes personal responsibility for developing themselves in conjunction with their Leader.
