About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Designer (Design Systems Specialist) who will own, evolve, and scale Ushur’s Design System — the visual and structural foundation that powers our entire product suite.
This is a hands-on role for a designer who thrives on system thinking, pixel-perfect execution, and collaborating across disciplines to bring consistency, efficiency, and beauty to complex enterprise products.
You’ll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Business stakeholders to translate user and product requirements into reusable, well-documented, and accessible components.
If you’re someone who obsesses over grids, tokens, naming conventions, and how systems scale — while still caring deeply about user experience and collaboration — this role is made for you.

• Responsibilities
  ●Own and evolve Ushur’s Design System, from foundational tokens to high-level components and documentation.
  ●Define, maintain, and evangelize Atomic Design principles across product teams, ensuring consistency and scalability.
  ●Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis of the best-in-class design systems (e.g., Polaris, Carbon, Fluent, Material) to inspire and refine Ushur’s system.
  ●Design, prototype, and ship system components in Figma, ensuring alignment with accessibility, responsiveness, and brand guidelines. Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure design tokens, component behavior, and UX logic translate seamlessly to code.
  ●Work with Product Managers and Business teams to solve design problems that directly support product goals and user needs.
  ●Establish documentation standards, usage guidelines, and governance processes for the Design System.
  ●Contribute to feature-level design work as needed — ensuring cohesion between the system and product experiences.
  ●Continuously refine our design workflows, handoff process, and tooling for scale and efficiency.
  Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in UX/Product Design with a strong focus on Design Systems.
• Proven experience building, maintaining, or scaling a Design System using Figma and Atomic Design methodology.
• Strong understanding of design tokens, component architecture, and documentation best practices.
• Experience shipping system components to production in collaboration with engineers.
• Ability to perform benchmarking of leading design systems and distill actionable insights from them.
• Excellent collaboration skills — able to work seamlessly with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to align design intent with functional goals.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and interaction patterns.
• Hands-on expertise in Figma: components, variants, auto-layout, libraries, tokens, and prototyping.
• Passion for AI-driven design tools and a curiosity for how AI can accelerate design quality and consistency.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design rationale and system logic clearly.
• Bonus: Experience designing or integrating AI-powered UX interfaces or working in fast-paced startup environments.
• (Preferred but not mandatory) B.Des/M.Des degree from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 design school.
