About the Product Designer role...

Working with a high-performing product team, this role will play an integral part in designing the future of SiteMinder's hotel commerce platform. You will be crafting experiences within one of our delivery portfolios.

Your UX mission is to unify the powerful tools and features we’ve built into a single, elegant experience. You will tackle our customers' most pressing challenges: simplifying complex workflows, helping them make smarter revenue decisions, and ultimately giving them back time to focus on what they do best—creating amazing guest experiences.

What you'll do...

• Creating prototypes and high fidelity designs (in Figma), journey maps, logic flows, and design concepts

• Conducting user research to understand needs and behaviour, as well as opportunities for our product(s)

• Conducting usability testing to evaluate designs

• Collaborating closely with engineers: co-designing solutions, sharing insights/knowledge, conducting design QA and negotiating outcomes.

• Participating in, or leading, workshops and design sprints

• Working with the Lead Product Designer and taking feedback and coaching from them

• Consulting and following design systems (including proactively consulting other designers, especially while learning the systems)

What you have...

• Natural problem solving skills

• Good collaboration skills

• An ability to take feedback, coaching and direction

• An agile/adaptable mindset

• Strong UI design skills - able to make things look good and balanced, but still effective and usable

• Experience conducting discovery work, including research, competitor analysis, journey mapping, interview facilitation, moderation of usability testing etc

• Experience working closely with content specialists

• Experience in using a design system

• Experience in a SaaS product context

• Ideally, experience in the hotel/travel industry

• Ideally, experience with both native mobile design as well as web design
