About the Role

Product designers at Envoy lead the creation of new products and the entire user experience of Envoy’s products for workplaces. Fundamentally we believe that workplaces work better when they work for people who use them. Product designers at Envoy push the boundaries and seek to be recognized for great design. 

Envoy helps customers make better workplace decisions by giving them insights into their people, operations, and spaces. To do this, we ingest the data that powers those insights. Currently, we focus primarily on presence information, but Envoy is looking to expand to include other data categories that provide the most value for our customers.

This role focuses on the end-to-end experience of Envoy’s Workplace Analytics, including how the data is collected and displayed. The ideal candidate will be able to design innovative solutions that make it easier for companies to integrate their Wi-Fi and access control systems to obtain better data. They are also skilled at presenting complex data in a way that is easy to understand. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team and help us build the best possible workplace analytics platform.

This is a hybrid position that requires at least 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.

You will

  • Lead end-to-end design and research for the workplace analytics function by transforming complex data into visualizations that are intuitive and engaging that helps admin users analyze complicated data for their workplace and make decisions more effectively
  • Design innovative yet easy-to-use Wi-Fi and access control integration setup experiences
  • Distill complex developer terminology and workflows into delightful and intuitive experiences 
  • Work with product managers and our customer-facing teams to do user research to inform our product direction and vision
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to build products and features that are well-designed and provide a great user experience 
  • Work effectively with engineering and product management partners to deliver solutions that have business impact

You have  

  • 5+ years of experience working as a product designer
  • Strong data visualization skills
  • Strong user experience design skills: understanding of information architecture, multi-step and cross-platform flows
  • Product-thinking skills: understanding of how your designs support your user’s goals, your team's goals, the broader product vision, and company objectives
  • Proven experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research to inform your design work
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environment, or with SaaS products
  • An updated portfolio of your work including recent projects (within past 1-2 yrs)

Compensation description 

Envoy's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, and great benefits. If you are located in San Francisco Bay Area, our expected cash compensation for this role is $170,000 - $185,000 (Annually). Final offers may vary within the range provided based on experience, expertise, and other factors.
