The Role

Zonda is seeking a full-time Product Designer II to help shape the future of our applications & platforms, including consumer-facing digital products and enterprise-grade data analytics and mapping software. You will be joining a central Design organization that drives an emphasis on building partnerships with Engineering and Product Management teams, bringing in creative techniques and forming a deep understanding of the user challenges in the various products and domains.

This role will focus on both the Discovery aspects of design – problem framing and shaping solutions with key stakeholders, through to Delivery – working in sprints to design intuitive user interfaces leveraging established design systems within Figma.

You’ll play a collaborative role in contributing to design strategy, design systems, and product roadmaps. You can expect to lean into (and develop) the full scope of UX skills from facilitation and design thinking, through to pixel-perfect and delightful interface design. Your partnership with Product Managers will form a fulfilling feedback loop between exceptional user value and business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Discovery: Support the early concepting and shaping processes by joining workshops, generating sketches, and leveraging AI tools for rapid ideation
  • Problem Framing: Transform business challenges and requirements into design approaches; create wireframes, user flows, sitemaps, and concept sketches that include stakeholder vision and feedback.
  • Delivery: Own the day-to-day design delivery of high-fidelity production files in Figma, as well as generating supporting prototypes, running design review presentations, capturing feedback, and contributing components to the design system when needed
  • Design Operations: Leverage JIRA and Confluence alongside the broader Design organization to schedule tasks and communicate commitments
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on user goals, business objectives, and technical feasibility
  • Feedback & Research: Present and articulate your design choices to a diverse set of audiences, both internally to business leadership and externally to customers and users
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek areas for iteration that uplift the usability, accessibility, and visual consistency of existing experiences
  • Design Strategy: Contribute and help build a fulfilling design culture and creative practices with your teammates from around the world.

What You Bring

  • A B.A., BSc, BDes, or equivalent in HCI, Design, Psychology, Engineering, Business, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications or equivalent practical experience are welcome
  • 3+ years of Product Design experience across software and web applications
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design execution, user-centricity, and developer-ready production files

  • Experience working with established brand and design systems
