Job Description:
Pluralsight is seeking a Product Designer with a Design Operations focus to join our growing team, to thrive at the intersection of design, strategy and efficiency. In this critical role, you will be a strategic partner to the Design Leadership team, helping to scale and optimize our design operations, including processes, tooling and best practices for design at Pluralsight. You will use your expertise to streamline workflows, define and implement best practices, and ensure our dedicated team has the resources and support they need to deliver impactful work that fuels Pluralsight's growth.
What you'll do:

  • Lead the continuous evaluation, implementation and rationalization of tools that scale, enhance communication, collaboration, and project visibility across all design teams.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing design culture. This includes developing onboarding programs, training initiatives, working groups, organizing team on-sites and remote summits and recognition programs for design team members
  • Create harmony between design, product, and engineering partners by being adept at connecting the right people and opportunities to bring about positive outcomes for our teams and customers
  • Launch a shared repository of playbooks for team practices and operating norms, design system documentation and governance, research, accessibility best practices, career growth, and more
  • Support the development and maintenance of an Ops Council, bringing together other operations professionals within the organization around common strategies and processes
  • Under the guidance of the leadership team, help to define design portfolio planning, impact measurement, budgeting, capacity planning, and headcount forecasting
  • Maintain fluency in your craft by devoting a portion of time to ad hoc design initiatives alongside ops work

Experience you'll bring:

  • Experience in Product Design; portfolio demonstrating interaction and visual design skills
  • Experience with (or a passion for) design systems and strong system-level thinking
  • Modesty and willingness to act on design feedback in an iterative design process
  • Collaborative work across functions and organizational boundaries
  • A passion for building and cultivating a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational improvements and design systems.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, methodologies and best practices.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile) and the ability to tailor them to the design workflow.

Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of related or equivalent experience; or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working within a global or enterprise-scale design team.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in design project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and design collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Figjam).
  • A data-informed approach with the ability to analyze design team metrics and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Why you'll love working here:

  • We're remote- and hybrid-friendly
  • We're mission driven and values guided
  • We have a strong commitment to diversity and belonging
  • We cultivate a culture of trust, autonomy, and collaboration
  • We're lifelong learners and champion team member growth and advancement
  • We've got you covered - team member benefits include competitive compensation packages, medical coverage, unlimited PTO and Summer Fridays, wellness reimbursements, Pluralsight subscription, professional development funds and more.
