We’re looking for an exceptional Product Design Lead to join our award-winning design team in London. You’ll be leading a team of designers to develop the tools and quality experiences used by our Wise Platform Partners. Alongside this you'll be collaborating closely with banks and online platforms, consulting on the ways they can improve experiences for their customers. You’ll be part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system. Because people without borders need money without borders.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working with the cross-functional teams that make up Wise Platform — a squad that helps banks and large enterprises move the world’s money with speed, certainty and ease. You'll also be part of the Wise Design Community and will regularly collaborate with designers across Wise. You’ll be reporting into a Design Director operating across both Wise Platform and our award winning Design Systems team giving you broad visibility across design at Wise. This role requires close collaboration with content design colleagues on projects so direct, previous experience of content-product design partnerships will stand you in good sted. 

You’ll contribute to the mission by:

• Leading the team - Partnering with Product, Engineering and Sales teams you’ll provide leadership that ensures product design work is aligned to Squad and business objectives.

• Championing craft - You’ll provide hands-on design skills and support the team to shape product experiences that are innovative and easy to use. Shipping work your team is proud of.

• Delivering Experience Design expertise - This role will give you the opportunity to flex a range of product design skills and suit someone who enjoys variety. From heuristic analysis to product demos you’ll influence improvements to the UX of our partners flows and collaborate on design enhancements. 

• Shipping improvements for partners - You’ll also ship impactful improvements to partner portals and tools on the back-end that improve experiences for partners.

Day to day you’ll be:
 

• Leading a small team of product designers to ensure design quality and evolve how we design and improve product experiences for Wise Platform partners. 

• Collaborating with product, sales and delivery teams to translate sometimes highly technical design challenges into compelling B2B design solutions.

• Building empathy and a deep understanding of the needs of our partners; banks, FinTechs and global enterprises.

• Supporting the team hands-on to deliver impactful experiences and features for Wise Platform partners supporting teams in Partner Onboarding, Experience and API Experience. 

• From concept generation to prototyping using AI to support and improve the teams workflows.

• Creating assets that demonstrate how Wise has built a consistent global experience generating trust, confidence and customer loyalty. 

• Working directly with Wise Platform partners to workshop, present and collaborate on design solutions.

A bit about you: 

• You’re an accomplished Design leader who’s led teams before. You are passionate about building a culture that supports their growth.

• You have a portfolio of well-crafted, impactful design work that demonstrates your ability to craft highly-polished and impactful products. You know what good looks like.

• You are an exceptional problem solver with an ability to navigate technical complexity, inspire and collaborate with others.

• You are an advocate for design within the organisation, clearly communicating the value of design to senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels, and influencing strategic direction in your business area.

• You are confident at presenting to clients and understand how to establish effective client relationships that bring about change. 

• You’ve worked with design systems to produce beautiful and functional design that is both accessible and scalable and inspiring for audiences from CEOs to engineers.

• You are proficient with Figma, curious about AI and default to prototyping your ideas.

Nice to have but not essential…

• You have demonstrable experience working in B2B experiences - finance/banking, SaaS or enterprise companies is a plus, but not essential. 

• You have agency experience or know how to shape a design rationale, routinely presenting your work to senior clients or stakeholders.
