Reporting to Sr. R&D Engineering Manager, you as a Product Design Engineer will be responsible for design, develop and modify products, make design recommendations to fulfill the requirements, will manage customer requirements for new products, coordinate activities within R&D functions as well as cross-functionally (Technical marketing & sales, purchasing, manufacturing).
About the job:

New product development of low-voltage electrical products.

Participate in the introduction of new product designs into production.

Evaluate existing product lines and identify design modifications for cost reduction and/or performance Improvement.

Interface with Customers to define applications and fuse requirements and identify product design opportunities and solutions.

Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates standard techniques, procedures and criteria to meet project requirements for new product development or enhancement.

Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.

Determine root cause analysis and testing activities to successfully meet requirements of project.
-
Responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements.

Gather and manage customer requirements for new products, coordinate activities of all R&D functions as well as cross functional.

Lead technical concept development activities in RFI/RFQ phase of the project.

Develop alternative design and architecture options, perform root cause analysis and testing activities to successfully meet customer and project requirements.

Provide technical support to external and internal customers (technical marketing, sales, manufacturing).

Act as core team member within cross-functional and global teams in NPD projects.

Work by automotive standards and methods (IATF, A-SPICE, APQP, FMEA).
About you:

University degree in Engineering field (preferably in Electronics Engineering)

Two to five years of experience.

Knowledge of engineering practices.

Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred.

Advanced knowledge in MS Office.

Strong analytical skills.
-
High attention to detail.

Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Excellent time management and process management skills.

Self-starter and team player with good communication skills.

Able to learn and apply new concepts.

Knowledge of automotive methods would be beneficial.

Knowledge of DoE, Six-Sigma, LEAN, and Agile is a plus.
