Product Definition Analyst 3

The Analytics Services Senior Consultant is a high-value, client-facing role responsible for managing a portfolio of airline clients and maintaining relationships with executives up to the C-Level. This role involves delivering comprehensive analytics services to airlines, including data analysis, modeling, and actionable business insights. The consultant will derive and execute strategies to enhance airlines' e-commerce performance, emphasizing expertise in data visualization using tools like Qlik, Tableau, and Power BI. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with clients and internal teams to thoroughly understand each client's business objectives and market dynamics, ultimately driving maximum returns and achieving client goals. 

 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee a portfolio of airline clients, acting as the primary point of contact for executives up to the C-Level. 

  • Gather, analyze, and model client data, KPIs, and/or market data (competitors, products, suppliers) using a broad set of analytical tools and techniques to develop quantitative and qualitative business insights and improve decision-making. 

  • Support and lead consulting sessions to enhance airlines' e-commerce businesses, offering recommendations for improving media mix, marketing campaign content, traffic quality, IBE efficiency, merchandising, upsell opportunities, SEO strategy, SEM strategy, content strategy, and similar analyses. 

  • Present insights and recommendations to airline representatives, ranging from analysts to C-Level executives, ensuring clear and impactful communication of findings. 

  • Actively collaborate with other teams to assess and address customer pain points, ensuring comprehensive support. 

  • Mine data from various sources to generate actionable insights, with the ability to correlate different data sets to support informed decision-making. 

  • Define and execute analyses and reports to support consulting missions, utilizing internal analytics data structures and reporting tools. 

  • Analyze user behavior, conversion funnels, and booking flows to identify and address barriers to conversions. 

  • Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests to optimize digital booking experiences and improve ROI. 

  • Oversee the definition and maintenance of dashboards and reports of customer KPIs, enforcing best practices and standards. 

  • Support the digital services team in writing business cases and white papers, contributing to thought leadership. 

  • Benchmark airline industry and cross-industry digital innovations to provide cutting-edge insights. 

  • Develop and implement data visualization solutions using Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau to present data in an easily understandable and actionable format. 

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and analytics deliverables by implementing best practices for data management and quality control. 

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data analytics, visualization, and big data technologies to continuously improve the services provided to clients. 

  • Train and mentor junior team members on best practices in data analysis, visualization, and consulting to build a strong, knowledgeable team. 

 

About the Ideal Candidate: 

  • Consulting/Data Analysis/CRO: 

  • Top-notch consulting skills, with proven experience in extracting insights and providing recommendations to improve business performance in any industry. 

  • Familiarity with various database technologies, including SQL. 

  • Knowledge of digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) is a plus. 

  • Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and modeling client data, KPIs, and/or market data to develop business insights. 

  • Proven experience with Conversion Rate Optimization tools (e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize) and methodologies. 

  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and data-driven approaches to improving conversion rates. 

  • Experience in the travel industry is a strong plus. 

  • Data Visualization: 

  • Proven experience building effective and aesthetically pleasing dashboards in Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau. 

  • Ability to oversee the definition and maintenance of dashboards and reports of customer KPIs, enforcing best practices and standards. 

  • Big Data: 

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies, Azure Databricks, and Databricks SQL. Knowledge of Snowflake Data Cloud is a plus. 

  • Experience with big data technologies, including Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Impala, is beneficial but not required. 

  • Proven experience with Apache Spark architecture and components is beneficial but not required. 

  • Development: 

  • Hands-on experience writing code in Scala (preferred), PySpark, or Java is a plus. 

  • Hands-on experience with Bash scripting and Python is a plus. 

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science, business studies, or a related field, or relevant experience.
