Product Data Stewardship Senior Lead – Chicago, IL; Newark, NJ; Slough, UK; London, UK 

As a Product Data Stewardship Senior Lead at Mars Snacking, you would play a crucial role in our enterprise data and AI program by partnering with regional, global, and transformational stakeholders to effectively analyze, document, organize, optimize, and orchestrate all aspects of enterprise product data. This includes the data foundation, analytics, and AI, ensuring our product data is a key enabler of Mars Snacking's mission to transform and nearly double our business by 2030. 

Similarly, you would act as a trusted partner, both internally and externally, interpreting our data and insights to drive strategic decisions and deliver recommendations based on the data that foster collaboration, optimize business processes, and support advanced technology capabilities. 

What are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analytics, or a related field, with equivalent business experience. 

  • Proven 4+ years of experience in large-scale data management and business transformation, particularly within the Consumer Goods industry. 

  • Strong expertise in product data domains, with hands-on experience in tools such as PLM, PPM, MDM, and SAP. 

  • Experience in data strategy, data architecture, and data quality disciplines, with a focus on data governance and metadata management. 

  • Experience managing and coordinating both technical and non-technical teams in complex data-related programs, ensuring alignment and collaboration across business functions. 

  • Ability to translate technical data concepts into actionable insights and communicate effectively with business stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical) and proficiency in data governance, catalog, and quality tools such as Collibra, Informatica, SAP, and/or Microsoft Purview. 

  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), SAP MDG, and core data objects such as Material, Customer, and Vendor data. 

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools for creating executive dashboards and reports. 

  • Data transformation experience and a strong understanding of business processes to capture and define data requirements. 

  • Ability to engage with and understand the data needs of both technical and non-technical audiences. 

What would be your key responsibilities? 

  • Lead the execution of the Data and AI Stewardship Strategy for Product Domain, aligning with business objectives and priorities. 

  • Guide functional leads in identifying automation opportunities to simplify and automate business processes through AI and data-enabled solutions. 

  • Manage data governance, quality, and metadata management processes, ensuring data standards and policies are adhered to across the organization. 

  • Collaborate with global, regional, and market data teams to resolve data issues and optimize the product data lifecycle. 

  • Work closely with data architects, data engineers, and AI specialists to ensure data is ready for analytics models and AI capabilities. 

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities related to data initiatives with stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Foster continuous improvement, innovation, and data literacy within the Product Domain, keeping up with emerging trends and technologies.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.  Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
