This Position reports to:
Marketing ManagerAs a Product Data Analyst (6 months contract), you will lead the management of product master data across our ERP, PIM, and digital platforms. You'll join a close-knit North American team within ABB's Emergency Lighting business, working on products that protect lives. You will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, improving data processes, and enabling better cross-functional use of product information, and will have a direct impact on how our product data reaches customers across digital and distribution channels. This is a hands-on, technical role where analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset are essential.
This role contributes to: ABB Electrification | Smart Buildings | Emergency Lighting Business Line | North America.
The work model is hybrid, with 3 days per week at the office in Dorval.
Responsibilities
- Data management: Maintain, update, and validate product master data across systems (ERP, PIM, CMS) and web platforms, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the product lifecycle.
- Analysis & reporting: Use SQL and analytics tools to extract, analyze, and structure product-related data. Build reports, dashboards, and data models that support business, marketing, and product teams.
- Process improvement: Optimize data workflows by identifying gaps, automating tasks, creating validation rules, and improving data governance to reduce errors and manual work.
- Cross-functional support: Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to align attribute requirements, resolve data discrepancies, and provide system-related support for data issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a data analyst, product data, or master data management role.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency with SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with ERP, PIM, or CMS platforms and understanding of product hierarchies, attributes, and lifecycle data.
- Bilingual (French/English) with strong written and verbal communication skills. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage large datasets and ensure data accuracy.
- Proficiency with analytics/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) for building reports and dashboards.
- Working knowledge of database management systems (including legacy systems such as Microsoft Access) for reporting, analysis, and database optimization is an asset.
- Experience in a technical, manufacturing, industrial, or B2B product environment is an asset.
