About The Job
In this role, you’ll ensure our membrane products and filtration systems meet all relevant regulations by staying current on food contact laws and standards, preparing and maintaining compliance documents, and coordinating migration testing and certification. You’ll support teams with compliance best practices, communicate with regulatory bodies and customers, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement through audits and process enhancements. Key tasks:
Develop and implement compliance strategies for new and existing products
Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation plans
Work with R&D, Operations, Sourcing, Engineering & Supply, Quality teams to ensure compliance is integrated into all stages of product development
Ensure products can be legally sold in target markets by securing necessary documentation and certificates
Report on compliance status and address follow-up activities
Monitor industry trends and proactively adapt compliance programs.
At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is based in our Copenhagen office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 25 – 35 days per year, primarily to our site in Nakskov.
What You Know
Master’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field
5+ years’ experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or a related area
Experience and knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Food Contact Material Regulations (EU, USA, China, Japan), USDA, REACH, RoHS, and CE are highly advantageous
Experience in relevant industries such as food or pharma
Hands-on experience with product testing and certification processes
Experience in the membrane industry and project management is a plus
