As an ambassador for their selected product groups, the Product Business Developer (PBD) is the key driver within the local Canon business unit. As PBD you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the Photo Product Group Strategy and Business Plan across the Polish market.
In collaboration with Sales and Marketing, the PBD is responsible for pricing, positioning and channel strategy throughout the life of the product from launch to EOL, monitoring the market trends, competition and managing the way to market strategy.
Next to that, at Canon the PBD is in regular contact with all stakeholders like finance, logistics, biz ops and others, leading or monitoring any processes connected to their categories.
Responsibilities- Own the country business performance for the photo category, including revenue, PBT and market share targets.
- Help define the local KPIs and targets and monitor business results.
- Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies, aligned with general company priorities.
- Lead product lifecycle activities: launch planning, pricing strategy, demand forecasting, and end‑of‑life decisions.
- Track product performance metrics and drive corrective actions when needed.
- Monitor the P&L, manage the investment including accruals.
- Drive channel strategy to maximize sales opportunities consistently throughout the year and achieve the best possible ROI.
- Monitor competitors’ activity and market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Support Marketing and Product Intelligence team to produce materials and training to support product launches, ranging and sell out.
- Support Marketing team in development of product messaging, training materials, and sales enablement tools tailored to the region.
- Participate in the negotiations with CEL headquarters, providing insights and feedback from the Polish market.
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the PBD team to support target achievement in the whole 4CE region.
Self Development is important at Canon and you will be encouraged to take further training to develop your skills in this role through the support and guidance of your Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in Product Management, preferably in a technical environment with focus on consumer segment. Experience from the photo/video business is an advantage.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and leading of complex projects with different stakeholders.
- Fully proficient in the use of software application packages, including email, spreadsheets, word processing, digital imaging and presentation software.
Fluent in Polish and English Language - Marketing, Business or other related degree is an advantage.
