Join our team as a Product Associate, reporting directly to a Senior Product Leader. You will be instrumental in supporting the daily management and enhancement of our core product suite, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to the Australian and New Zealand markets.
 

What you’ll do

  • Support Roadmap Execution: Assist Senior Product Leaders in tracking and delivering the product roadmap for the Consumer portfolio, ensuring tasks and milestones remain on schedule.

  • Market & Competitor Research: Conduct desktop research and analyse market trends to help the team understand lender needs and identify opportunities for product improvement.

  • Documentation & Requirements: Help draft and maintain Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and user stories to ensure clear communication of features to engineering and delivery teams.

  • Backlog Management: Assist in managing the product backlog and daily administrative tasks within our project management tools to keep workflows organised and prioritised.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Sales, and Legal teams to support the creation of collateral, training materials, and documentation required for product launches.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track and report on key product performance metrics (such as adoption rates and revenue) to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Testing Support: Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance processes to ensure our solutions meet customer expectations before launch.

  • Customer Feedback Analysis: Consolidate and review customer feedback data to help the team uncover pain points and validate product hypotheses.

What experience you need

  • 1+ year of corporate experience in a professional environment (internships included); experience in product, financial services, technology, or operations is a plus.

  • Strong organisational skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Analytical mindset: Comfort working with data and using tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to extract insights and build simple reports.

  • Excellent communication skills: Clear written and verbal communication abilities, with the confidence to work with various internal stakeholders.

  • Team collaboration: A proven track record of working effectively within a team to achieve shared goals.

  • Tertiary qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Interest in Product Management: A genuine interest in building a career in Product Management and the FinTech industry.

What could set you apart

  • Experience using collaboration and planning tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Aha could be helpful

  • Previous exposure to the financial services, lending, or credit risk industries.

  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies or the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Experience working with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) or SQL.
