We’re Looking For A(n): Legal Intern- Regulatory & Marketing
Location: Remote (Woodland Hills, CA)

What You’ll Be Doing: The Legal Intern role offers a dynamic opportunity for an aspiring legal professional to support our Regulatory Attorney in ensuring compliance with marketing and regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Regulatory Attorney, you will be instrumental in conducting legal research, drafting persuasive legal memoranda, and analyzing complex regulatory frameworks, with a particular focus on the health and wellness field. Your responsibilities will include interpreting statutes and regulations, organizing legal documents, and providing valuable insights to inform compliance strategies. Proficiency in technology, including Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and AI technology, will be essential for efficient document management and research. This role presents an ideal platform for individuals passionate and curious about advertising in the health and wellness field to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, contributing to our organization's commitment to ethical conduct and regulatory adherence.
- Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law pertaining to advertising and FDA/FTC regulatory compliance.
- Support the Regulatory Attorney in reviewing marketing materials, advertisements, and promotional campaigns for compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and training programs to promote awareness and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company's operations, and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
- Draft legal memoranda, reports, and correspondence to provide insights and recommendations on compliance matters.
Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):
- Statutory Interpretation: Competent in interpreting statutes and regulations to assess their applicability and impact on specific legal issues.
- Legal Reading: Ability to comprehend and interpret complex legal texts, including statutes, regulations, court opinions, and legal commentary, to extract pertinent information for research and analysis.
- Food Law Interest/Experience: Demonstrated interest in or experience with food law, including understanding of relevant case law, regulations, and compliance requirements in the food industry.
- Document Organization: Skill in organizing legal memoranda in a logical and structured manner, ensuring coherence and clarity for the reader.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and AI technology, enabling efficient document creation, collaboration, data analysis, and utilization of AI tools for legal research and analysis
Required Eduction: College Degree
Preferred Education: Law School Student
Required Experience: Legal Intern (1st year Law School)
Preferred Experience: Past Internship

The base salary range is $17-$20.
