HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Product Analyst (PA) will help strengthen the front end of our digital product and engineering delivery lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of business needs, product delivery, and technical execution. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and delivery leads to ensure initiatives are clearly defined, properly scoped, technically understood, and execution-ready before entering development.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis fundamentals with program delivery and technical coordination experience. They should be comfortable driving requirements discovery, facilitating cross-functional alignment, navigating ambiguity, and managing complex dependencies across systems and teams.
The Product Analyst will play a key role in supporting Yearbook Technology platforms and experiences that power content creation, collaboration, workflow management, ordering, production, and fulfillment processes. This individual will help translate business needs and customer feedback into actionable product requirements while supporting roadmap execution and delivery readiness.
This is not a purely documentation-focused BA role. We are looking for someone who can drive clarity, operational rigor, and execution readiness across both business and technology organizations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Partner with Product Managers to define and refine requirements for Yearbook Technology platforms supporting content creation, collaboration, workflow management, e-commerce ordering, production, and fulfillment.
Analyze advisor, student, school, and internal user feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and operational efficiencies.
Translate business objectives and customer needs into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and development-ready requirements.
Support product roadmap planning by providing business analysis, product insights, and delivery readiness recommendations.
Participate in user acceptance testing and solution validation to ensure delivered functionality meets business and customer expectations.
Develop a strong understanding of yearbook business processes and serve as a subject matter expert for supported product areas.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to agile delivery practices, requirements management standards, and cross-functional operating models
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to identify delivery risks, manage dependencies, and drive alignment in fast-moving environment
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Technical fluency and ability to understand system architecture, APIs, integrations, data flows, and platform dependencies
Strong expertise in business requirements gathering, BRD creation, process mapping, and functional documentation
Strong organizational and execution management skills with a high degree of ownership and accountability
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
Advanced Jira administration, configuration, dashboard creation, reporting, and workflow management experience.
Strong understanding of Agile Scrum principles, metrics, ceremonies, and delivery best practices.
Ability to leverage data, reporting, and product metrics to support prioritization and decision making.
Experience managing and maintaining product backlogs and requirements within Jira and Confluence.
Education, Certification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science & Engineering, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or related field required
3+ years of experience in business analysis, product operations, product delivery, or cross-functional technology initiatives involving multiple systems, stakeholders, and delivery teams
Demonstrated experience working within Agile Scrum teams, including backlog management, sprint planning, story refinement, estimation, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
Experience partnering directly with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Engineering teams in an Agile product development environment.
Experience working in digital product, e-commerce, platform modernization, or enterprise application environments preferred
Progressive experience supporting product, technology, or digital transformation initiatives preferred
Success in This Role
Success in this role means improving project readiness, reducing ambiguity before development begins, and helping teams execute more efficiently through stronger business alignment, clearer requirements, and proactive program coordination. This role will serve as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring initiatives move from concept to execution with clarity, consistency, and operational discipline.
Success also includes strengthening intake governance, improving delivery predictability, and enhancing collaboration across Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Design teams
