As a member of the Optum Insight Product (OI Product) division, you will play a key role in advancing administrative, financial, and clinical processes through software-enabled services, cloud platforms, and data science. Our team's vision is to harness cloud technology, machine learning, and innovative analytics to simplify healthcare complexity and improve patient outcomes across the health system. In this role, you will support and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for data science and cloud-focused products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product strategy, maintain a robust product roadmap, and act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical execution teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for healthcare-focused data science, cloud, and analytical product initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business leaders to define product strategy and maintain a detailed, forward-looking product roadmap
- Act as a Product Owner/Analyst by defining, grooming, and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Translate complex business and healthcare operations needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria
- Evaluate emerging trends, industry standards, and innovative technologies to inform solution design and strategic product innovation
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline product management workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute product launches, support user adoption, and measure product performance
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Full-time) or equivalent experience (e.g., 4+ years of experience in product management, product analysis, or a related technology field in lieu of a degree)
- 3+ years of experience in product management, product analysis, or product ownership within a software development, technology, or healthcare organization
- 2+ years of experience working with cloud-based platforms (such as Azure, AWS, or GCP) or cloud-native software products
- 2+ years of experience defining product roadmaps, creating user stories, and managing product backlogs through the end-to-end product lifecycle
- 1+ years of experience collaborating with data science, analytics, or artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) teams to deliver tech solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full-time graduation or a specific degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related technical field
- Experience working in a healthcare product organization, payer, provider, or health-tech company
- Experience utilizing advanced data analytics, SQL, or visualization tools to drive data-informed product decisions
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, with experience working as a Product Owner (CSPO or similar certification)
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, or deploy AI-powered features, solutions, or platform automations
- Demonstrated excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders
