As a Product Analyst on the Data and Analytics team at Earnest, you will report to the Analytics Manager and work closely with our Product teams to use data to make better decisions and accelerate learning. This role requires true analytical curiosity and the ability to solve unstructured problems. You have experience not only deriving insights but also delivering impactful and actionable recommendations. You have the ability to see different angles of a product or business opportunity, turn abstract business questions into structured data analysis, and clearly communicate meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making. 

As a Product Analyst, you will:

  • Lead data-driven experimentation to improve the client loan application experience
  • Perform hands-on, in-depth analysis and presentations to assist in identifying product opportunities and product roadmap decisions
  • Develop and maintain product analytics tracking across web and mobile platforms
  • Partner with Product, Research, and Design to define customer personas and roadmap priorities
  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to validate analytics solutions and drive model development
  • Identify opportunities for new product analytics initiatives, improved reporting processes, or enhanced testing strategies 

About You: 

  • 3+ years in a product or analytical role, blending data with strategic business insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL for manipulating and summarizing complex data.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics platforms (such as Segment, Amplitude, or Looker).
  • 1+ years working with A/B testing, statistical methodologies, and conversion funnels.

Even Better:

  • Exposure to the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from initial concept to implementation.
  • Experience transforming raw data using ETL tools (such as dbt or Fivetran).
  • Knowledge of data governance and internal control requirements.
  • Background in modeling financial portfolios, particularly student loans.
  • Understanding of lifecycle marketing and customer segmentation strategies.
  • Working knowledge of R or Python.

  • This role will be based in the US.

Compensation: 

A little about our pay philosophy: We take pride in compensating our employees fairly and equitably. We are showcasing a range of your potential base salary based on the roles location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related qualifications, internal compensation, candidate location and budget. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 USD. Employees are also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and equity.
