Product Analysis - Advisor IAbout the Role
We are seeking a Product Analyst to support the development and enhancement of Communicator Open, our API middleware platform that enables financial institutions and FinTechs to integrate with Core banking systems. This role combines analytical skills, banking domain expertise, and technical understanding of APIs to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Management to support product vision, roadmap execution, and business objectives.
- Engage with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure requirements align with roadmap priorities.
- Gather and analyze business requirements from internal or external stakeholders and banking clients.
- Collaborate with SMEs to translate client business requirements into functional requirements for Open API platforms using REST APIs.
- Write clear user stories with acceptance criteria; document user journeys, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Create, maintain, and prioritize enhancement intake requests for the product backlog across multiple teams.
- Partner with Development and Release Management to review release plans, checklists and ensure accurate stakeholder communication.
- Maintain and update statuses Jira/Confluence/AHA and ensure traceability of requirements.
- Validate APIs and workflows using tools like Postman; assist with functional questions and testing.
- Ensure readiness for product releases, including documentation and artifacts for external launch.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, usage patterns, and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects/Engineers to understand system architecture.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Product Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in banking or financial services.
- Experience with digital banking products and API-driven solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of banking processes, compliance, and enterprise workflows.
- Hands-on experience with API concepts, integration workflows, and Postman testing.
- Skilled in user journey mapping, use case development, and writing functional requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and scalable API solutions.
- Familiarity with API security protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
- Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee).
- Exposure to microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to interpret performance metrics and optimize API efficiency.
- Experience working with Financial Institutions and FinTech partners on integration projects.
