Team Overview
The Alternative Data team is 1 of 4 product pillars within TransUnion’s Credit Risk Solutions organization, focused on developing differentiated data assets and solutions that create unique customer value and strengthen TransUnion’s broader product portfolio. This role sits within the FactorTrust product team, a key part of the Alternative Data portfolio, and supports the delivery of alternative credit data solutions that help customers make more informed lending decisions. The position partners closely with Product Development, Data Analytics, Technology, and go-to-market teams to advance the FactorTrust roadmap. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the FactorTrust product roadmap, ensuring alignment with long-term business strategy while delivering near-term customer and business value.
- Partner with senior product leaders to manage regulatory, compliance, and security initiatives, communicating progress and priorities to stakeholders.
- Represent the voice of the customer by gathering customer feedback, market insights, and user research to influence product decisions and prioritization.
- Define and track product goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), success metrics, and business outcomes to measure product performance.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Technology, Data Analytics, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through market launch.
- Develop persona-based product requirements, translate business needs into actionable development priorities, and maintain a healthy product backlog.
- Lead feature release planning, remove obstacles to execution, and communicate roadmap updates, feature requirements, and delivery timelines to leadership and stakeholders.
- Review wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts, providing feedback to ensure solutions meet customer and business objectives.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, Legal, Sales, and Finance teams to support successful product launches, adoption, and ongoing market success.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, transparent prioritization processes, and continuous adoption of Product Management best practices.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or a related role, applying product lifecycle management principles to deliver customer-focused solutions and business outcomes.
- Knowledge of customer-centric product development methodologies, including customer research, market analysis, and requirements gathering, to ensure product decisions reflect customer needs.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across Technology, Analytics, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Sales to successfully develop and launch products.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and security considerations within data-driven products, enabling effective prioritization and risk management.
- Experience analyzing business and customer data to establish key performance indicators (KPIs), measure success, and support strategic product decisions.
- Product roadmap management and backlog prioritization tools used to define, organize, and track product delivery initiatives.
- Data analysis and reporting skills, including the ability to evaluate product performance metrics, customer insights, and business outcomes.
- Requirements documentation and translation of business needs into functional product requirements for technical development teams.
- Experience collaborating with Agile product and technology teams to support iterative product delivery and release planning.
- Strong presentation, stakeholder communication, and product planning skills to influence decisions across technical and business audiences.
