Team Overview
The Alternative Data team is one of four product pillars within TransUnion’s Credit Risk Solutions organization, focused on developing differentiated data assets and solutions that create unique customer value and strengthen TransUnion’s broader product portfolio. The Advisor, FactorTrust Product Manager role is part of the FactorTrust product team, supporting the delivery of alternative credit data solutions that help customers make more informed lending decisions. This position collaborates closely with Product Development, Data Analytics, Technology, and go-to-market teams to advance the FactorTrust roadmap and deliver measurable business outcomes. The role reports to the VP, Product Management. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the FactorTrust product roadmap across a 1-3 year planning horizon, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives while delivering near-term customer and business value.
- Partner with senior product leaders to prioritize and manage regulatory, compliance, and security initiatives while balancing revenue-generating and market expansion opportunities.
- Represent the voice of the customer by gathering customer feedback, conducting market analysis, and leveraging user research to influence product decisions and prioritization.
- Define, monitor, and report on product goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), success metrics, and business outcomes to evaluate product performance and guide strategy.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Technology, Data Analytics, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle from concept through market launch.
- Develop persona-based product requirements and translate business needs into actionable requirements for technical development teams while maintaining a healthy product backlog.
- Lead feature release planning, proactively remove barriers to execution, and communicate roadmap updates, delivery timelines, and feature priorities to stakeholders.
- Review wireframes, prototypes, and product designs, ensuring solutions align with customer needs, business objectives, and user experience expectations.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, Legal, Sales, and Finance teams to support successful product launches, customer adoption, and ongoing market success.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration, transparent prioritization, and the continuous adoption of Product Management best practices to improve execution and business outcomes.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or a related discipline, applying product lifecycle management principles to deliver customer-focused solutions and measurable business outcomes.
- Knowledge of customer-centric product development methodologies, including customer research, market analysis, user feedback collection, and requirements gathering to drive informed product decisions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across Technology, Data Analytics, Operations, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Sales to successfully develop, launch, and enhance products.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and security considerations within data-driven products, enabling effective prioritization, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience analyzing customer, market, and business performance data to establish KPIs, measure success, and support strategic product planning and decision-making.
- Experience with product roadmap management and backlog prioritization tools used to define, organize, and track product delivery initiatives.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities to evaluate product performance metrics, customer insights, and business outcomes.
- Ability to document requirements and translate business needs into functional product requirements for technical and development teams.
- Experience working within Agile product development environments, supporting iterative delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, and release planning activities.
- Strong presentation, stakeholder management, communication, and product planning skills with the ability to influence technical and business audiences.
- Experience with alternative credit data, financial services, lending, credit risk, or data and analytics products.
- Exposure to user experience (UX) design practices, wireframe reviews, and collaborative product design processes.
- Knowledge of market research methodologies and competitive product analysis techniques.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, roadmap discussions, and product planning sessions.
- Familiarity with change management principles, product adoption strategies, and go-to-market planning activities.
