The Product Advisor, Storage within Product Management, Alliances, plays a key role in Veeam's Research & Development department, focusing on the creation of industry-leading solutions with Veeam’s storage alliance partners. This role will look for innovative paths to connect and expand Veeam’s offerings by leveraging alliance technologies.
Your tasks will include:
- Develop and maintain feature requests for storage integrations, including designing mockups and defining product usage scenarios for the Veeam Research & Development team. Additionally, oversee and provide guidance to ensure execution aligns with established targets
- Collect feedback from Veeam's CI and Product Marketing teams, customers, alliances, and sales partners, asses them, and form new product strategies
- Analyze and discuss the obtained information with key stakeholders and the Software Development Division, and define product design, user interfaces, APIs, and descriptions of the software product's technical characteristics
- Guide product marketing and product offering teams within the responsible scope
- Organize both internal and external training and demonstrations of the software product in the early phases of development with clients, consultants, and other experts at Veeam related to the responsible product area (train-the-trainer approach)
- Monitor sales and support status over time and enhance the product to maximize sales and reduce support overhead
What we expect from you:
- Excellent experience in Veeam Product positioning and relevant technologies like Server computing, VMware, Storage, Infrastructure, Cloud, and SaaS applications
- Excellent knowledge of the backup and storage market dynamics. Demonstrated experience in selling infrastructure/storage solutions and understanding of special pricing levels in the market
- Demonstrated a strong drive to dig deep (hands-on) into technologies and APIs to form product integration recommendations in the best possible way
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Ability to work across multiple teams spread out globally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teammates
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Highly proactive and able to work independently
- Must be able to travel within North America and Europe up to 20-30%
Will be an advantage:
- Previous pre-sales experience with global vendors or large strategic customers
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field experience
- Any level of Veeam, VMware, or Microsoft virtualization/cloud certification or equivalent experience
- Industry knowledge of data protection & disaster recovery technologies
