Join the EWTN News Nightly team and help shape a trusted, mission-driven newscast viewed across the globe. As a Producer, you will craft compelling daily news segments rooted in Catholic teaching, collaborate with editorial and production teams, and ensure our broadcast meets the highest journalistic and visual standards. Your work directly supports EWTN’s mission of bringing faithful, accurate, and relevant news to millions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality daily news segments that reflect national and international events through a Catholic lens.

You will write and edit scripts under tight deadlines, conduct thorough research on guests and topics, and prepare thoughtful discussion questions for the Anchor and Executive Producer.

You will pitch original story ideas that align with current affairs and EWTN’s mission, select video, sound, graphics, and still images for the broadcast, and collaborate closely with pre- and post-production teams to ensure each newscast is both editorially sound and visually engaging. You communicate effectively with control room staff, reporters, and guests, and troubleshoot production challenges as they arise.

You will also support other English and Spanish news programs produced in the D.C. studios and in the field, and assist in Spanish language major events coverage, such as the Holy Father’s travel to Latin America.

ABOUT YOU:

You are an experienced broadcast news professional with 5–7 years of producing newscasts in medium or large markets, and you bring strong editorial judgment, excellent writing skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

As a practicing Catholic, you understand Church teaching and how it informs EWTN’s mission. You stay well-versed in local, national, and international news, including key life issues relevant to a global Catholic audience.

You are fluent in English and Spanish, comfortable working with newsroom software such as ENPS or iNews, and are adept at communicating clearly with control room staff, reporters, and guests.

You work independently and proactively, contribute positively to a collaborative team environment, and adapt easily to a flexible schedule that may occasionally include nights or weekends. You also bring fluency across social media platforms and the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently.  A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is strongly preferred.
