About us

At Sierra, we’re creating a platform to help businesses build better, more human customer experiences with AI. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices in Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Singapore, Japan, and Sydney.

We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and Family. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.

Our co-founders are Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

About the role

We’re looking for a Producer on the Events & Experiences team to help bring Sierra’s most important moments to life — not just what happens on stage, but the entire arc of how an attendee experiences Sierra. You’ll join a small team with a high bar for craft, producing everything from large conferences and product launches to executive gatherings, field events, and experiential activations.

This role lives at the intersection of live production and creative vision. You’ll shape how our events look, sound, and feel; partner with creative teams and production vendors to deliver them flawlessly; and think well beyond the main stage to the texture of the whole experience. We care deeply about Craftsmanship, getting the details right, from the words on a slide to the way people move through a room and you’ll be the person who holds that bar.
What You'll Do:

  • Own production end to end. Lead the full lifecycle of Sierra's marquee moments and third party events from creative concept and pre-production through post-event delivery — across keynotes, product launches, executive summits, field events, and experiential activations.

  • Craft the experience, not just the agenda. Think beyond the main stage to how attendees move through and feel a space: breakout sessions, demo environments, branded moments, and the texture of the overall experience.

  • Lead vendors and partners. Source, brief, and manage AV, scenic, lighting, video, and experiential vendors and creative agencies — getting the best work out of partners while owning timelines and budgets.

  • Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with Marketing, Product, Communications, Sales, and executive stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into compelling live moments.

  • Capture and extend the work. Help define what gets filmed, streamed, and photographed, and partner with marketing to turn live moments into highlight reels, social content, and campaign assets that live well beyond the room.

  • Travel. Travel up to 30 percent to lead onsite execution.

What You'll Bring:
  • 8+ years across event and creative production. You've produced live shows and shaped content and built experiential moments, rather than specializing in one lane.

  • A live-production backbone. Deep command of run-of-show, rehearsals, and the AV/scenic/lighting/staging craft that makes a live event feel effortless.

  • A creative and content sensibility. Strong instincts for narrative, design, and multimedia, with the taste to judge and elevate the work, not just coordinate it.

  • Experience building physical environments and attendee journeys — activations, immersive spaces, demo experiences — not only stage programming.

  • Vendor and agency leadership. A proven track record sourcing and directing AV, scenic, creative, and technical partners, and managing budgets and timelines across competing priorities.

  • A collaborative operator. You thrive on a small, high-bar team — owning your workstreams while coordinating closely with events leads, creative partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Calm, decisive command under pressure. You make sharp calls in dynamic, high-stakes live environments and bring people with you.

Even better...
  • Enterprise and Field Marketing Experience: Familiarity with creating and executing targeted, high-impact marketing initiatives and events designed specifically for enterprise customers and field marketing contexts, aligning closely with sales teams and strategic business objectives.

  • Hybrid and broadcast fluency: Experience producing hybrid events that combine in-person experiences with livestream or broadcast components, and familiarity with emerging production technologies (LED, real-time graphics, interactive engagement tools).

  • Passion for Sierra’s mission and brand: a creative flair for producing event experiences that embody our values and leave a lasting impression on attendees. You take pride in building an events portfolio that showcases Sierra’s innovation and company values.

Our values
  • Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.

  • Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.

  • Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.

  • Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.

  • Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
