The Procurement Systems Specialist will have responsibility for supplier quality activities and operational efficiency of the various procurement technologies. This role will enhance our internal supplier quality program in alignment with the corporate Quality Management System guidelines. In addition, the role will embed technology efficiencies across operational sourcing platforms to optimize spend and drive value capture. This role will interact with the global sourcing organization as well as corporate and business unit stakeholders to deliver results. This role will report to the Manager of Procurement Technology Enablement.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Lead supplier quality program for the sourcing organization, including supplier performance data management, oversight of supplier evaluation and processes, document control, supplier audits, and other related activities

  • Drive operational efficiency of sourcing platforms (i.e., Coupa, ETQ, Articulate, Sigma, SharePoint, Resilinc, etc.) through daily support, process improvement campaigns, and other key initiatives

  • Develop and analyze Coupa KPIs to support Sourcing’s CEO of Spend methodology

  • Lead the sourcing functional area during corporate ISO 9001 and IATF audit preparations and corresponding internal and external headquarter audits

  • Lead Coupa-related continuous improvement activities to bolster KPIs, such as supplier adoption of the Coupa Supplier Portal or usage rate of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLMA) module

  • Serve as sourcing lead for ETQ functionality, system data governance, US-CAN quality approvals, and other supplier quality processes

  • Provide coaching and develop trainings for Avient stakeholders on optimization within the sourcing technology platforms to accelerate value capture 

  • Support Sustainable Sourcing Platform Manager with supplier compliance documentation associated with supplier performance and evaluation

  • Assist Sourcing Managers with managing, testing, reporting, and updating for all sourcing systems 

  • Support Avient site quality managers on supplier evaluation during individual site audits

  • Ability to make logical and sound decisions working in a fast-paced office environment

  • Support other sourcing related projects and tasks, as assigned.

  • Some global travel may be required

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business/Supply Chain or related field. Relevant experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree will be considered. 

  • Preferred experience collaborating with Sourcing/Supply Chain Planning and Quality functional areas 

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to multitask with strong time/priority management skills.

  • Must have ability to communicate effectively in person, via Teams (virtually), phone and via email.

  • Strong computer and analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Office with experience in Coupa or analytical software (i.e., Sigma, Snowflake, Power BI, etc.) is a plus. 
  • Should possess intermediate organization, facilitation and problem-solving skills
  • Should possess intermediate stress management and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to represent Avient professionally and ethically in meetings with external parties and to set the standard for integrity and collaboration in internal meetings.
  • Demonstrated process improvement and change management skills.

 

Physical Demands

  • Requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, talking and listening skills.

  • Must be able to walk and use hands

  • Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate
