What You’ll DoProcurement & Purchase Orders
- Source and procure materials and services from outside vendors to support Engineering and Manufacturing schedules.
- Issue, enter, and expedite purchase orders; maintain accurate PO records and proactively communicate supply issues to keep projects on track.
- Request competitive quotes and evaluate bids on cost, quality, and delivery.
Supplier Relationships
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the best possible cost and delivery terms.
- Assist in reviewing and executing vendor contracts and supplier agreements.
- Track supplier performance and drive improvement plans where needed.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with assigned suppliers.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on material requirements and procurement decisions.
Inventory & Reporting
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning/scheduling to prevent shortages.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and run rebalance and procurement reports on a regular, timely basis.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on purchasing or procurement experience actively sourcing and buying materials, not primarily shipping, receiving, or inventory management. Manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Global Shop Solutions, or similar) strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to work through supply chain challenges independently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple open orders in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications (CPP, CPSM, or CSCP) are a plus but not required.

Skills Required
- High school diploma
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or materials management experience
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Global Shop Solutions, or similar platforms
- Professional certifications such as CPP, CPSM, or CSCP
- Demonstrated experience with purchase orders, bill of materials changes, supplier relationships, and materials management processes
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
