Business Title: Procurement Specialist - Indirect
What will you do?
Scale of Responsibilities- Supports cluster leader and category leaders in the execution of category initiatives and projects to deliver key category performance indicators, including: savings, supplier rationalization, low-cost region sourcing, risk management, spend under agreement, joint innovation, supplier performance, etc.
- Support cluster leader with reporting and communicating key data on performance for the region covering division/sites and categories
- Develop expertise in the business needs and capabilities for major spend categories and key procurement processes and Source to Pay systems.
- Report performance data for assigned categories and/or key business processes.
- Communicate, monitor, and manage compliance with sourcing strategy and/or business process.
- Monitor performance of suppliers and ensure that performance issues are intensified appropriately and quickly addressed.
- Supports supplier business reviews to ensure both parties meet obligations under the terms of agreement, including performance standards and continuous improvement goals.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to ensure full understanding and support of strategic sourcing key processes
How will you get here?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical field. Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years procurement/sourcing experience in mid to large multinational companies, with strong category/business engagement experience.
- Business insight – knows how to assess market/business requirements dynamics and negotiate agreements that yield meaningful business value
- Experience working in highly regulated industries
- Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year over year results
- Demonstrated consultative/collaborative style in performing sourcing activities
- Influences without authority to motivate and manage a cross-functional team in multiple geographies.
- CPSM or equivalent is helpful
- Hands-on manufacturing and/or supply chain experience is preferred
- Experience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred
- Ability to travel 25 to 50%
