Job Summary
Le ou la Spécialiste de l’approvisionnement soutient directement un groupe d'usines/sites miniers en Amérique du Nord, offrant un appui dans tous les aspects du processus d'achat (Purchase to Pay).
Il ou elle collabore étroitement avec les fonctions clés de chaque site, notamment : le département de la maintenance, des opérations générales, de la logistique, de l’ingénierie, des finance, de la sécurité, etc.
Principales tâches et responsabilités
- Réalise des appels d'offres, des soumissions et des demandes de prix pour des produits et services compétitifs;
- Gère les projets d’investissement et d’exploitation en appliquant des pratiques de gestion de projets et des outils de processus spécialisé (par ex. : processus de demande de dépenses en capital);
- Travaille en partenariat avec les opérations pour sélectionner de manière compétitive les sous-traitants et prestataires de services pour les usines;
- Identifie, en collaboration avec chaque usine, des opportunités de réduction des coûts et d'augmentation de l'efficacité des usines en utilisant les capacités fournisseurs;
- Émet des bons de commande aux fournisseurs, fournit des délais et des estimations d’arrivée (ETAs) aux clients internes;
- Résout les écarts liés à la réception et à la facturation;
- Apporte un soutien dans tous les domaines de la gestion des stocks.
Compétences et exigences
- Solide expérience dans l'achat de biens et services industriels;
- Excellente compétence en négociation;
- Expérience dans les achats d'investissement (capex) dans un environnement industriel;
- Bonne compréhension des différents éléments du coût total;
- Excellente compétence en service client;
- Forte capacité à collaborer à travers différents secteurs;
- Bilinguisme en français et en anglais requis.
Formations et expériences requises
- Diplôme universitaire requis ou expérience professionnelle équivalente;
- Posséder un minimum de 5 ans d'expérience dans les achats (un atout);
- Compréhension des bases financières;
- Connaissance de SAP souhaitée;
- Formation en gestion de projet (un atout);
- Certification en achats (un atout).

The Plant Procurement Specialist directly supports a group of plants/mine sites within North America, providing support in all aspects of the Purchase to Pay process.
He or she will partner closely with the key functions in each site, including: maintenance, general operations, logistics, engineering, finance, safety, etc.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Executes bids, quotes and RFQ’s for competitive products and services
- Drives Capital and Operational projects utilizing project management practices and specialized process tools (i.e. Capital Expense Request process)
- Partners closely with operations to competitively source plant contractors and service providers
- Works with each plant to identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership and increase plant efficiency using supplier capabilities
- Issuing Purchase Orders to vendors, providing lead times and ETAs to internal customers
- Resolves receiving and invoicing discrepancies
- Support in all areas of inventory management
Skills and Attributes Requirements
- Strong experience in purchasing industrial goods and services
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Experience in capex purchasing in an industrial environment
- Strong understanding of the various elements of total cost
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong collaboration skills across various boundaries
- Bilingual in French & English required
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ experience in purchasing preferred
- Understanding of financial fundamentals
- Knowledge of SAP preferable
- Project management training a plus
- Purchasing certification a plus
