This position reports to:
Procurement Manager__
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Develop supply base and build business ecosystem partnership
- Investigate the supply market intelligence and develop supplier base for assembly business & ODM (brand labelling) supplier based on business needs. Plan for new supplier development footprint to support fast product portfolio extension and business growth, early involved in R&D design, effectively cooperate with Product Managers, R&D functions to fully take leverage of the supply market resources.
- Responsible for Assembly and ODM products business and supplier relationship management, drive supply base evaluation, dual source development to secure continuity supply. continuously improving the supply base to enhance competitiveness in business area.
- Build up the connection between sales demand and the supply market resources, actively organize the communication between demand side and supply side and recommend the supplier resources and their technique, products and solutions to the company, closely working with P&F team to drive supply reliability from suppliers.
- Innovatively design and manage the business model and the operating model to build up a strong and sustainable partnership ecosystem to develop integrated supply base.
- Implement effective sourcing strategies in line with the business strategy. Work with across functions for supplier management and ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet business needs.
- Manage supplier performance to achieve target of cost, quality and delivery
- Optimize the total cost of ownership and achieve cost reduction by various approaches, e.g. Negotiation, value engineering driving, should costing analysis, supply chain optimization, material localization and new product replacement. Implement purchasing activities according with purchasing procedure, e.g. RfQ, bidding, e-sourcing, benchmark, outsourcing and etc. Conduct competitiveness bidding process based on company policy.
- Work with cross functions to manage supplier capacity & flexibility to meet the market demand, e.g. MOQ and lead time, Consignment model negotiation and continuously optimize the technical specification and the manufacture process and improve suppliers’ efficiency to contribute to cost saving of purchased goods.
- Manage supplier on-time and on-quality delivery to meet company suppliers’ KPI target.
- Contract management, supplier relationship management and Risk management
- Sign supply agreements with suppliers in line with company guidelines and business needs.
- Manage the supply chain and supply risk at the different product life cycle stages.
- Coordinate and handle commercial issues with suppliers. Build and enhance the supplier relationship in line with the requirement of integrity and compliance.
- Project management for new products
- Early involvement in the R&D projects for new product development. Participate in the supply chain planning for new products and coordinate SCM activities according to the new product project target and schedule.
- Bachelor or Master degree, preferably with Engineering major
- At least 5 years working experience in sourcing or related supplier management working experience.
- 3 years of souring and supply chain experience in category of assembly or ODM products, preferred knowledge about the market players, supply resources in the business area of ED products.
- Good communication and negotiation skills
