At Bose Portugal's Business Service Center, we deliver high-quality global business services across all company levels. As an international company, we interact with foreign managers, deal with diverse cultures, and navigate a variety of languages, making our work incredibly varied and exciting.
We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement Team in Lisbon. This role covers multiple categories, including Marketing & Sales, Real Estate & Facilities (including Office and E-catalog), Supply Chain, GR&D/MRO, Information Technology, Finance/Legal, and HR/Travel.
This position is being offered in a hybrid capacity (remote and onsite in Lisbon, Portugal).
Key Responsibilities
Procurement and Sourcing:
Support and/or manage the execution of sourcing events (RFP/RFQ/RFI) and contracting projects.
Procure high-quality goods and services at favorable terms for the organization.
Execute “2 Bids and a Buy” process: manage bid proposals, negotiate pricing and business terms of purchase.
Lead sourcing events and negotiations for mid-tier spend vendors.
Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking.
Administer sourcing and contracting projects within Ariba, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Support and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business needs.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Contract Management:
Support Category Managers with contract lifecycle management, including development and renewal processes.
Apply knowledge of legal and compliance clauses for contract establishment.
Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to ensure contracts meet business requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with business stakeholders, suppliers, Category Managers, Legal, and Finance Departments to ensure seamless procurement processes.
Maintain regular communication to promote the value of sourcing initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Evaluation and Improvement:
Conduct spend analysis and reporting to identify and track saving opportunities.
Review and process vendor creation requests.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in procurement or sourcing, ideally across multiple categories.
Skills:
Systematic, objective, and strategic thinking with strong negotiation capabilities.
Flexibility to adapt communication and negotiation styles across different levels and environments.
Ability to handle resistance, manage multiple tasks, and persevere through challenges.
Strong ethical standards with honesty and dependability.
Customer-driven mindset, with a constructive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
Proactive, with the ability to build relationships and bridge gaps across teams and stakeholders.
Perceptive in understanding the environment and adjusting strategies accordingly.
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, market expertise, financial analysis, and legal compliance.
Proficiency in procurement tools, including Ariba and SRM.
