Your new job

As a Procurement Specialist within the Category Assembly & Accessories, you’ll play a key role in securing the right suppliers for IKEA Components - today and tomorrow.

You’ll build strong relationships and develop both existing and new suppliers, always with the goal of achieving the “Best Buy” for IKEA. That means balancing price, quality, logistics, sustainability, and capacity in a smart and strategic way. You approach collaboration with honesty, fairness, and professionalism, challenging and supporting suppliers to grow alongside us. Together, we make better products for the many people. 

In this role, you’ll help shape strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers in the Category Assembly & Accessories. With curiosity and a strategic mindset, you’ll explore the market for smart sourcing opportunities and make thoughtful decisions about starting or ending collaborations. You’ll organize RFQs, ensure compliance, and take the lead when things need to be corrected - always keeping stakeholders informed. By supporting supplier development, securing capacity, and focusing on lowering total cost, you’ll contribute to a better everyday for the many people.

You understand the purchasing landscape and know how to build strong supplier relationships that support both business goals and IKEA values. You’re confident working with numbers, navigating change, and communicating with clarity and with a receiver oriented approach.

• Demonstrate strong financial knowledge and negotiation skills

It’s a plus if you also:

• Have engineering background or equivalent experience in purchasing or supply chain
• Know how to identify and capture business opportunities that drive long-term value
• Enjoy building strong relationships and working across functions to reach shared goals
