About the Role
The Procurement & Sourcing Lead is responsible for planning, sourcing, contracting, and onboarding Local Contractors to meet client deliverables. You’ll drive procurement events, manage supplier relationships, and ensure all activities support Local Community Objectives, Aboriginal and SME participation targets, and workforce development commitments.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Contract ManagementLead procurement and sourcing activities to support proactive and reactive maintenance services.
Develop and execute Procurement Plans and sourcing strategies.
Prepare procurement strategies, evaluation plans, tender documentation, and recommendations.
Conduct commercial evaluations, negotiate outcomes, and manage contract implementation.
Ensure all procurement activities support Local Community Objectives and participation targets.
Source, engage, and onboard Local Contractors using approved templates and processes.
Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement.
Maintain ethical, fair, and respectful supplier relationships.
Provide debriefs and feedback to suppliers as required.
Build strong relationships with the client, Local Contractors, industry groups, and the community.
Respond to client requests professionally and promptly.
Provide high‑quality procurement advice and insights on market conditions.
Ensure reporting requirements are understood and delivered on schedule.
Conduct spend analysis, market research, benchmarking, and supplier market assessments.
Identify cost drivers, total cost of ownership, and opportunities for service improvement.
Investigate and develop new supply sources.
Recommend strategies aligned with client needs and account operations.
Ensure adherence to C&W and client policies, probity requirements, and relevant legislation.
Maintain compliance with Aboriginal, SME, and Local Participation Plans.
Operate safely and in line with environmental and WHS obligations.
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring a blend of commercial capability, stakeholder engagement, and hands‑on procurement experience. You enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and building strong relationships with local suppliers and community stakeholders.
Background & ExperienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in services procurement.
Experience in property or facilities services (highly regarded but not essential).
Proven track record delivering sourcing events in operational environments.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract law.
Experience working with SMEs and community‑based suppliers.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Tertiary qualification in business, procurement, or related field (preferred).
Strong research, data analysis, and negotiation skills.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
High proficiency in MS Office.
Collaborative, proactive, and solutions‑focused mindset.
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.
