ATI is seeking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing for our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This role will be based in Natrona Heights, PA.
Lead, and lead others in, development and execution of procurement strategies for the purchase of key maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) supplies, storeroom management, chemicals, refractory, material handling equipment, and operating and maintenance services to enable operational efficiencies at the lowest total cost. This includes developing short- and long-term strategies relative to these categories, determining quantity and quality required, and negotiating terms of supply, including development and implementation of a multi-step cost savings structure over time.
Essential Functions
- Develop and lead implementation of procurement strategies and strategic initiatives related to MRO supplies, storeroom management, chemicals, refractory, material handling equipment, and operating and maintenance services and operating and maintenance services.
- Manage and coach a team responsible for strategy development, driving change, and delivering significant cost savings throughout our business.
- Analyze and assess current processes to develop and implement process improvements.
- Work closely with operational customers and other key stakeholders to partner on strategic suppliers.
- Work closely with other ATI business units and ATI Corporate Strategic Sourcing to leverage opportunities.
- Develop and manage key supplier relationships and partnerships.
- Negotiate competitive contracts that form the basis for significant cost savings.
- Develop cost/benefit analyses for new materials and suppliers to ensure positive results through key negotiations.
- Develop strategic metrics and analyses to monitor supplier and contract performance and determine the basis for future contract and supply needs.
- Contribute as a key influencer in the qualification of new products, suppliers and processes that will yield savings for ATI.
- Cultivate constructive working relationships with suppliers and intercompany counterparts during the negotiation and development of new materials and/or suppliers.
- Ensure that the negotiated purchase cost and the operating and performance requirements enable manufacturing efficiencies to be realized.
- Maintain extensive awareness of the supply markets relative to job responsibilities and their impact to sales and manufacturing strategies to support business goals and continuous improvement.
- Interface with various levels of the organization representing to properly define costs, benefits, logistical needs, and future strategies necessary for success.
- Maintain close coordination with personnel from manufacturing and other business areas, as required.
