Job Description
- Responsible for the procurement activities of the assigned materials which include:
- Responsible as main interface with customer / product with effective coordination internally in addressing issues.
- Coordinate material simulation activities to meet customer order fluctuation.
- Study and take appropriate actions on the MRP reports after the MRP run.
- Provide input/updates on material delivery related issues.
- Ensure good material planning and expedite the right materials for smooth production.
- Update critical parts list daily.
- Attend daily operation meeting and attend task force calls on critical supply materials.
- Coordinate activities with relevant parties to avoid line stoppage if the right material cannot arrive on time
- Track and monitor supplier delivery performance.
- Constantly review the planning parameters according to business trend.
- Responsible to support the activities on inventory management to achieve monthly coverage and inventory turns including quick disposition on rejected and obsolete materials, minimize overhanging materials, work on overhanging materials claims etc.
- Strategic planning to minimize special premium cost (e.g. change of ship mode) to support situation requirement.
- Work on special freight claims and line-down claims due to delinquent supply from suppliers.
- Procure new part releases.
- Determine implementation dates of ECN (Engineering Change Notice) of both materials and software.
- Prepare report e.g. ABC analysis, inventory report etc. as and when needed.
- Support activities related to Bosch Production System (BPS), e.g. Supplier Kanban for continuous improvement.
- Work together and support each other within LOG as well as other department.
- Support and work towards achieving the departmental goal.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Escalate procurement issues that affect a single Value Stream (Level 1 & 2).
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree/Diploma in any discipline with at least 3-5 years of related working experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be flexible to take on ad-hoc assignment or project as necessary.
- Understands impact and consequences of own actions.
- Related working experience in order management and production planning function in manufacturing environment is added advantage
- Team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Data management and tracking skills.
- Decision making strength is essential
