The Procurement Operations Specialist will work on both strategic and operational aspects of the Anaplan procurement program. This includes working with our internal customers and external partners to ensure operational excellence and employee experience in supporting and driving initiatives to lead the procure-to-pay process. The analyst works with our suppliers across multiple categories and works closely throughout the agreement lifecycle to ensure the highest level of services are being delivered. The procurement and contract management team falls within our finance center of excellence organization, and along with having extensive P2P industry knowledge, the analyst is expected to follow high procurement standards in working with suppliers.

Your Impact

  • Plans, prioritizes, coordinates, and evaluates the work of the Procurement unit; assures that standards are maintained and that work is completed within established deadlines.
  • Ensures policies and procedures comply with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations and streamlines administrative processing to ensure proper documentation of all procurement activities.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and supports divisions to clearly understand procurement services, policies, and approval processes.
  • Track & report the performance of agreements & suppliers. Develop and maintain metrics, collect and analyze performance data, and perform root cause analysis of deviations.
  • Supports executive review proposal preparation, understanding various competitive solicitation types such as Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Information (RFI), and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) alternatives.
  • Manages vendor and supplier forms acquisition.
  • Inputs or reviews purchase requisitions into Workday, ensuring compliance with procurement and accounting standards and monitoring Workday for timely processing of requests.
  • Issues purchase orders in various formats (e.g., punchout, AMEX) in compliance with company policies and manages outstanding Purchase Card verifications, and closes out P-card transactions for past employees via Workday.
  • Provides support for AMEX Corporate card usage for the EMEA team and works on ad-hoc projects to streamline the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
  • Tracks contract terminations to ensure business continuity, including reassigning tasks and requisitions as necessary.
  • Support Digital transformation and change management projects to promote user experiences and further improve procure-to-pay, contract, and supplier management.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience related to procurement, accounting, or international operations
  • Experience in Procure to Pay process with a strong knowledge of procurement practices and techniques
  • Willingness to work flexible hours that accommodate international employees as needed
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude for details
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement tools

Preferred Skills

  • Proven experience in global procurement management with roles including strategic sourcing and procurement
  • Familiarity with American Express policies and procedures is a plus
  • Program/project management experience and/or certification preferred
