About your role
In the role as Procurement Manager in FFB you are responsible to manage, negotiate and orchestrate all Procurement and Sourcing initiatives with Third Party Vendors in alignment to FFBs sourcing appetite. You are solely responsible to perform contract negotiations in alignment with the 2nd LoD requirements for vendors, based on the risk assessment and to ensure compliance with regulation. Your role is embedded in a dedicated Sourcing Office in FFB.
The Procurement Manager is accountable to perform all processes and negotiations to ensure a compliant third party vendor portfolio supported by the Sourcing officer, Vendor Management and Legal. The Procurement Manager seeks to achieve value for money services, maximise operational efficiency, provides effective risk mitigation and controls to achieve operational resilience.
· Responsibility for operational and strategic procurement of goods and services (in particular IT, external services, consulting, and general expenses)
· End-to-end management of procurement processes from demand identification and tendering to contract conclusion
· Preparation, execution, and documentation of tenders, bid evaluations, and award decisions in line with regulatory requirements
· Negotiation of prices, terms and conditions, and framework agreements with national and international suppliers
· Management and further development of the supplier portfolio, including supplier evaluation and performance management
· Close cooperation with internal stakeholders such as business units, Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, and Outsourcing Management
· Ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies as well as regulatory requirements (e.g. MaRisk, DORA, outsourcing regulations)
· Proactively managing new suppliers, services and service extensions in conjunction with business sponsors and other stakeholders to maximise the benefits sought, e.g. due diligence, risk assessment, risk mitigation etc.;
· Assisting and mentoring service owners in managing external supplier relationships in particular the performance management, service delivery, SLA monitoring and reporting
· Analysis of procurement markets and identification of cost-saving and optimization opportunities
· Contribution to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, standards, and tools
· Maintaining awareness leveraging opportunities for and with other Fidelity Procurement teams globally;
About you :
· Degree in Business Administration, Business Law, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification
· A few years of professional experience in procurement, ideally within the banking or financial services sector
· Strong experience in contract management and commercial negotiations
· Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial sector is an advantage
· Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
· Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
· Proficient in MS Office; experience with eProcurement systems is a plus
· Very good German and English language skills
