As Procurement Manager, you will lead the procurement strategies, supplier relationships and contracting activities required to support the successful delivery of a major EPCM project.

Based across Belo Horizonte and the project site in Brazil, you will manage procurement activity across equipment, materials, construction, installation and project services. You will work closely with project leadership, engineering, commercial, logistics, suppliers and the client to ensure critical packages are sourced, awarded and delivered in line with project requirements.

  • Lead procurement activities for equipment, bulk materials, construction, installation and project services.
  • Manage tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, recommendation and award processes.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local and international suppliers, subcontractors and delivery partners.
  • Work with engineering and project teams to ensure procurement activities align with specifications, schedule priorities and construction needs.
  • Lead supplier expediting, inspection, quality assurance, logistics and delivery coordination.
  • Monitor procurement schedules, commitments, package status, risks and emerging issues.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with project governance, delegated authorities and contractual requirements.
  • Manage changes, variations, supplier performance and commercial issues in partnership with the project commercial team.
  • Lead and develop procurement personnel across office and site environments.
  • Act as a principal procurement contact for project leadership, the client and key suppliers.
  • Support safe, ethical and commercially responsible procurement decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

What we’re looking for

You’re an experienced procurement leader with the commercial judgement, delivery focus and stakeholder credibility required to manage complex procurement packages in a major project environment.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, supply chain, procurement, commerce or a related discipline.
  • Significant procurement experience within mining, mineral processing, industrial plant, engineering or construction.
  • Proven experience procuring equipment, construction and installation packages, materials and services.
  • Strong understanding of EPCM delivery and the relationship between engineering, procurement and construction.
  • Demonstrated contract negotiation, supplier management and commercial evaluation capability.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary or geographically dispersed procurement teams.
  • Strong understanding of expediting, inspection, quality assurance and project logistics.
  • Excellent client-facing, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Brazilian supplier and contracting environment is strongly advantageous.
  • Professional fluency in Portuguese and English is strongly preferred.
