bout us:

We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Electronics Procurement team, specialising in PCBA sourcing within a JDM environment. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, JDM manufacturing partners, and external suppliers, you’ll drive best-in-class supplier performance, position critical materials for supply assurance, and enable our product launch schedules. The role is central for building and executing robust Commodity Strategies for PCBAs.

About the role:

Own the commercial responsibility for the PCBA commodity—total control of sourcing, cost, supplier quality, and delivery across new and existing projects.

Engage collaboratively with Procurement Engineering, RDD, and project managers to develop, qualify, and ramp supply chains that deliver on cost, quality, and performance metrics.

Lead dual-source initiatives—partner with engineering and JDM teams to qualify alternative suppliers and components to reduce risk and drive cost efficiency.

Coordinate PCBA part qualification for alternative sources and design changes, closely following up to mitigate supply bottlenecks and manage cost-down activities.

Build and implement commodity strategies by working with category managers and engineering on specific PCBA requirements for each product category.

Manage material readiness—monitor and coordinate with suppliers and partners to ensure PCBA and component availability lines up with project milestones.

Screen global PCBA manufacturers and JDMs for capability, competitiveness, and fit with Dyson’s requirements. Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and allocation.

Drive complex negotiations—achieve best cost, quality, and adaptability outcomes for Dyson, whether dealing with JDMs or other suppliers.

Support rapid demand change management—work with supply chain teams on expedited PCBA allocations and critical priorities.

Coordinate exposure management—support operations and contract manufacturers to minimise obsolete or excess PCBA materials through smart scheduling, cancellation, and rescheduling.

Assist RDD and engineering in PCBA evaluation and validation builds—lead supplier support for prototypes, pilot runs, and ramp-ups.

Lead BOM analysis and price control—break down PCBAs by component, review costs, and manage price variance.

Support BOM and AVL management—work with category managers to scrub BOMs, guide longevity decisions, and steer AVL use.

Drive risk assessment and mitigation—work with category managers to spot risk components and develop PCBA supply solutions.
